Bio & Resume


Born in New York City, a nonconformist, artist and professional photographer. Stenger felt the call of the canvas from a very young age. Originally focusing on abstract Landscapes he later became interested in the work of the California pure expressionists, his present day work involves a blending of these two styles. He relocated to South Florida in 1983 attracted by the magnificent cloud forms and storms the state is famous for. From his Fort Lauderdale base he creates and markets his work to high end residential, corporate and hospitality design projects.


Stenger also donates his time and paintings towards two causes he feels very deeply about, Animal Rights and the homeless. Growing up with serious health problems and forced to become the sole support of his family at the age of 14 has understandably left him with an eyes wide open outlook on life. His involvement with charities have led to major celebrities becoming collectors of his work, as well as many International corporations. A partial list of collectors appears below.
